The index card outline is done!

With the exception of a major meltdown by my son, today was a good day. We had sun and a steady wind all day. I got the stunt up and flew it for a good hour. Stunt kite flying is great for relaxing. It takes your mind off everything else and demands your full attention. At times the wind was so strong that I was able to lean about 30 degrees off vertical, supported by wind power alone. Fantastic.

I was able to get in a good walk with my Dad on one of the nearby beaches. We encountered a couple of guys parasailing. They were jumping and doing flips and I swear they were moving at least 60km/h. Again, I took my camera and went snap happy. The great thing about digital cameras is the immediacy of it. It’s a great learning tool, for shot composition and choice of subject matter. I shot a lot of photos, but ended up deleting a lot of them, leaving me with a handful of images I was pleased with.

We had a great sunset, and I plan on trying to take some night sky photos tonight.

The good news is I finished my index card outline. It came in at 69 index cards of notes. Over the next several weeks I will begin fleshing out the ideas based on those index cards. That should be fun. However, I just may take a break and have a true, workless vacation.
