I'm done the first draft

I actually finished two days ago. I spent the past two days going through the entire script, watching for spelling, structure errors and minor tweaking. I actually didn’t go long like I thought I would. Because my outline was so detailed in the end, it only gave me an impression that it would go long. The script came in at 111 pages and just shy of 20,000 words. It took me 19days to write the actual screenplay, and that’s only because I spent so much time on the front end, reading, researching, planning and writing the outline/treatment.

I’m going to print it off and relax for a well deserved break. It’s a perfect way to begin the Christmas holiday season. To top it all off, over the past few days we’ve received about two feet of snow, so we’re going to have a white Christmas. It’s been the first time this has happened in about 12 years.

I feel good!
