Heading into the rewrite

At least the first rewrite pass. I’m up to page 9 and it feels good. I just have to manage my time better, because I am finding everything is competing for it. Of course it can be equally frustrating when I get a block of time set out and reserved for writing (like today), and a panic visual effects shot (that needs to be done right away on the weekend, as per usual) arrives, so everything else gets pushed aside.

Mornings are my only alternative. I did it in December when I wrote the first draft, and it worked, but it was hard. However, I’m not a morning person and it’s hard to to get back into it. I guess I could also write in the evening, but usually by then, I am spent mentally and creatively.
