The Girl Who Played with Fire
Picking up where the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo left off, we’re led on another journey to solve several murders that have targeted the main character of Lisbeth Salander. We learn more about her and her past, but not much. She still is mostly a mystery to us. The first film was a breath of fresh air. The second in the series tries hard to recapture that freshness, but it does feel a little like “more of the same”. It boils down to a procedural where clues are laid out as needed to solve the mysteries. It’s still a very entertaining film, and it can stand alone just fine.
