Bronson

BronsonTom Hardy’s physical and brave portrayal of Charlie Bronson/Michael Peterson is nothing short of mesmerizing. The film often felt longer than it was due to how it draws you in and exhausts you. The film actually beats you down. It takes a special breed of human to survive 30 out of 34 years of incarceration in solitary confinement, and this film paints an interesting picture of how one human being could manage to do that. The film is often difficult to watch because of it’s unsparing honesty on top of raging violence. And there’s no real explanation for why Bronson/Peterson goes out of his way to incite his vicious beatings. I think that’s because there is none. If you can stick it through, the film is worth a watch.
