Robert Rodriguez: “Film is Dead”

Never thought I’d see the day when film cameras would no longer be made. This move solidifies the move toward a totally digital medium, and one that allows unprecedented access to all filmmakers. Now we have no reason not to go out and make that film. There are many options to choose from, including DSLRs, Canon’s C300, and the innovator RED’s Scarlet-X and Epic. They all carry different price tags, so depending on your budget, there are options.

And now that digital cameras are the future, you have no reason not to go pick one up and shoot your own film. Robert Rodriguez says it best:
